I had been saying for a few years that I wanted to blog...well, I used to say WRITE, online, but just never made the time. My main excuse (for real) was that I couldn't come up with the PERFECT NAME for this blog because I didn't WANT a blog if it didn't have the perfect name. I didn't want a stupid name or a mediocre name or a "Katie's Family Blog" name. I wanted something that sounded like ME. If you really know me, you know that I have a smart mouth. Well, that's putting it mildly. I'm not mean. Okay, sometimes. I don't TRY to be mean. Well, sometimes it might sound like it. But if you really know me, you know that I don't mean it. Well.... Well, ANYWAY. So, FINALLY, I said, "Enough is enough. I have GOT to come up with a name!" So, I pondered awhile and really couldn't come up with anything except __________. That's right. I can't say, because I haven't actually published that one and I might later. I was working on it and being new to blogging (and although I call myself being great at multi-tasking) my 7 year old must have distracted me at the precise moment when I should have paid attention and I didn't follow directions ENOUGH. So, although I have a blog set up with a name and whatnot, I must have skipped a step and I have YET to figure out how to fix it. I've spent several hours on at least 3 or 4 different occasions trying to fix it and it's pissed me off so much that I've decided that perhaps this was meant to be and that I wasn't supposed to have that name after all. SOoooo, THIS time, it literally took me about 5 minutes or less to think of a new name because earlier in the evening I had been watching Pee Wee Herman on Broadway (shut up, my child was still up) and for some reason I thought about "the word of the day" and then I thought about how I like the word "shenanigans" and how I used to say it ALL the time and maybe I need to use that somehow. I looked up the actual definition of the word AND.....
Shenanigans: Silly or high-spirited behavior; mischief. (There are a few other similar definitions, like "trickery" HAHA!!)
So let it be done. I will make an e-mail and ATTEMPT to make a blog using shenanigans! Now, if I can remember how to spell it correctly and the same way every friggin time I write/type it, that would be fanfrigginTAStic!
BTY, the first time I heard the word "blog" was on the "Today Show". I can't remember how long ago that was, but I remember looking the word up and it seems like even THEY were talking about what "blogging" was and it was something new and yadda, yadda, yadda. I am SO excited I can hardly STAND it! There are going to be SO many SHENANIGANS!!! OMG!
